Dr. Martinez is excited and proud to join and serve the Paris community. Having grown up in a town very similar to Paris, he was raised with small town values such as a strong commitment to hard work and service to others. His practice philosophy is to treat all patients as if they were family.
Dr. Martinez completed his undergraduate studies in Biology in California, where he volunteered serving the medically underserved throughout his studies. He then went on to Arizona and Texas, where he earned his Dental (DMD) and Medical (MD) degrees, respectively. It was during this time that he developed a passion for surgery while maintaining a commitment to service to others. In 2010, he was the founding dental director of the Lubbock IMPACT Dental Clinic, which continues to serve the homeless population of Lubbock.
He relocated to Dallas to complete his residency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center. During residency, he gained extensive training in the surgical management of oro-facial disease, including dental implant rehabilitation, facial trauma and reconstruction, and surgical jaw correction.
Dr. Martinez also has a passion for teaching and holds an Assistant Professor faculty appointment at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. Outside of his practice, Dr. Martinez enjoys spending time outdoors running and cycling. He also enjoys spending time with his four nieces and nephews and volunteering for several health related charities.
